Happy New Year Student Organization Leaders!!
Welcome back! 2013 is here and we have a lot in store for your student organizations this semester. Before we get started on all of the great things we have planned for this semester and important updates to be aware of, please do not forget to re-register your student organization! The student organization registration deadline is February 1st. Remember: Any student organization that does not register for the spring will be considered inactive for the semester. If you have questions about the registration requirements, please visit http://neu.orgsync.com/registration_requirements or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
As you prepare for the spring semester, here are some things to look forward to…
The Activities Fair will take place on January 17, 2013 in Curry Student Center from 2:30-4:30 PM. This is a great opportunity to potentially recruit some new members for your student organization! This year’s theme is “Beach Getaway” so be prepared for great food, giveaways, and activities! Tables will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis, in order of registration so register here: https://orgsync.com/22998/forms/63075. Please contact Campus Activities with any questions or concerns at (617)373-2642.
SOAR has several great sessions to offer your student organization. This semester learn how to use your student organization experience on your resume and while you are interviewing or learn helpful tips to successfully transition your student organization into the next semester. On January 16th SOAR will be hosting a Finance Board workshop from 6-7pm in Room 333. Please remember that all student organizations must attend one Finance Board workshop per semester in order to be eligible to receiving funding from the board. Student organizations that attend this SOAR session will receive 100 paw points. For a list of all of the Finance Board workshop dates as well as other SOAR sessions being offered in January, please visit http://neu.orgsync.com/trainings_workshops.

Winning videos will be shown on the Northeastern website, the Matthews Arena Video Board, and on screens throughout campus. The grand prize winner will receive $1,000. Entries will be due on Monday, January 14, 2013. Check out the http://www.notheastern.edu/studentlife/coop/index.html for more details on how to enter.
