Happy almost Homecoming, Northeastern!
Have you thought about how your student organization will be involved in the events this year?
Whether your group is new or old, large or small, your student organization can (and is encouraged to) participate in Homecoming’s fun activities this year. This is your official chance to let your Husky spirit be heard and seen around campus!
This year’s Committee, made up of a handful of talented student leaders, planned an exciting week of traditions and events to celebrate Homecoming. Here are a few ways you can get involved:
- Apply to be a member of the Court and show Northeastern why you should be the next Homecoming King or Queen.
- Compete for the coveted title of Mayor of Huntington Avenue.
- Show your student organization’s Husky spirit by participating in Husky decorating or the banner competition. Fun fact: this year, you can participate in a Digital Husky Competition as well!
- Or take the cake and win the spirit cup!
If you’re interested in showing off your Husky spirit, check out the participation packet and apply now! Applications for Homecoming royalty are due by Oct. 24th at 5 PM and applications for Husky decorating, the banner competition, and MOHA are due by Oct. 28th at 5 PM.
We know that not every student organization will be able to formally participate as a group during Homecoming; however, individual students (YOU!) can show off Husky spirit at least once during the week! On that note, I’ll leave you with this:
When was the last time you sported your red and black and felt a rush of Northeastern love? Though we wish this happened every time you repped your Northeastern gear, we know that might not be the case. Luckily, here’s your chance! Throw on your NU gear on November 14th for a University-wide Red and Black Day and take a moment to think about why you love Northeastern.
