#SyncMeUpScotty – Using the App

Welcome back to the latest installment of our OrgSync series, #SyncMeUpScotty! In the smart-phone era, we’re always connected to our friends and family – so why not be connected to your student orgs, too?

Introducing the new OrgSync app.

We introduced the OrgSync app in our first #SyncMeUpScotty post, but today we’ll be delving into the nitty-gritty details.

You’ll find that after downloading it from the app store, the layout is straight-forward and clean. Press to Select Your Community, and you’ll be able to find Northeastern University as an option.

From here you’ll be prompted to login through the myNEU portal, so just put in your username and password to move on to the next step.

Now OrgSync teaches you all about how to navigate the app from your fingertips. This includes tapping on certain key areas to browse organizations, viewing events, and bookmarks.

imageThere are also some shortcuts that match up to Orgsync’s desktop site, including tapping on the left-hand corner to browse your organizations and join new ones, and sending feedback about your experience with the app.

imageOn the right-hand corner, you can see all the upcoming events from the student orgs you’re involved in, how your profile looks, and find new events you might be interested in.

imageNow say you’re browsing organizations on the left-hand corner, and you jump to an organization’s page – you’ll be able to see the details that make up the org, such as the people, photos, news, and events. Join discussions and meet new people – all from the comfort of your phone.

imageCongratulations! You’re now fully equipped with the OrgSync app basics, free to use at any time, any place. We’re so proud.

If you find any helpful tips that we haven’t mentioned, we’d love to hear it!

Until then, hats off to U, NU, NU…
