#LEAD360: What is BLUEPRINT?

Q:  What is BLUEPRINT?

A:  BLUEPRINT is a group mentoring program designed for first-year students who are interested in developing their leadership capacity through 8 weekly interactive sessions. BLUEPRINT students receive two mentors—an upper-class student leader, and a staff member. By joining our program, you’ll make new connections on campus, attend a leadership retreat, and develop an action plan for how you want to leave your legacy at Northeastern!

Q:  What topics are discussed?

A:  Activity topics in BLUEPRINT include self-awareness, collaboration, conflict resolution, wellness, diversity, and more.

Q:  Why should I register for BLUEPRINT when I am not a leader?

A:  We believe that everyone has leadership potential. BLUEPRINT will help you identify and develop your leadership potential no matter what your roles are on campus. Using Northeastern’s own set of 12 leadership competencies, our mentors will work with you to become a more flexible, empowered, globally conscious, and innovative citizen who is ready and able to demonstrate leadership in a wide variety of capacities.

Q:  How will BLUEPRINT help me professionally?

A:  Leadership competencies are becoming increasingly important in the rapidly diversifying, technologically advanced, and fast-paced work environment. BLUEPRINT will help you develop skills, such as critical thinking, flexibility, and integrity that can be transferred into any professional environment.

Q:  How can I register?

A:  Registration for BLUEPRINT spring 2015 is now OPEN! Please check out OrgSync to fill out the online application. The deadline to register is January 18, 2015.

Q:  What if I have additional questions?

A:  Please forward any additional questions to Evan Chartier, CSI Leadership Program Coordinator, at e.chartier@neu.edu.
